Dr. Das has authored two award winning books in Odia, a collection of short stories, KICHHI KATHA, a travel story, BERLIN-BERLIN and two books in English, KAYA YOGA: Road to happiness, health and longevity; and A PILGRIM'S JOURNEY. He got married to Shizuka Imamoto from Japan. Both Dr. Das and his wife have strong interest in literature, international relations, culture of Japan and India. They both are the Directors of the School of Kaya Yoga.
Kaya Yoga is a holistic system of health and well-being attained through the disciplined practice of a series of processes that start with a proper diet. Kaya Yoga lays emphasis on proper intake of air, consumption of water and a balanced diet in addition to a regular practice of the very best few postures of asana, praanaayama, techniques of mastiska sanchaalana, bandha, mudraa and cleansing of the interior.
Prof.Dr. Nachiketa Das was the first ever Indian in Australia who was appointed as a consultant to the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Australia, way back in 1995, to promote Australia India bilateral trade, which has now grown to over 20 Billion USD from a few million. He laid the foundation.
Economic Times interviewed him at Petrotech 95 in 1995 when he led/represented the Australian Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization CSIRO Division of Petroleum Resources.
