WHAT, WHEN AND HOW TO TEACH YOUNG CHILDREN ( PART - 2)

Play-way method of teaching and learning As already discussed, if you force a child to start writing ABCs from the very first day, he/she will lose interest and develop fear for studies as well as the teacher/school. In order not to have school phobia, some very interesting activities may be introduced to them gradually.  Interesting activities: Holding objects: For example, first you have to build on the strength of the child's holding capacity. Just encourage the child to hold an object with hand. At first you the child may be given a big size soft toy to hold by itself. The child will feel secured and quite relate to it. Gradually, smaller objects can be given to hold.  Jigsaw puzzle:  It would be better if you can arrange for some sets of attractive pieces. You can, demonstrate at first once or twice by removing all the pieces from the board and try to act like fixing the puzzles set. Then give the child an opportunity to do the same. WHAT, WHEN AND HOW TO TEACH YOUNG CHILDREN? (PART_1)

EARLY CHILDHOOD Though not all, but many of you, as parents of small kids or teachers/freshers supposed to deal with kids, might be wondering how to handle these tiny tots with care, what, when and how to start teaching these kids???? Well, this is the right place for you to have some idea or gain knowledge on the topic. Having more than 22 years of teaching experience and observing students, batch after batch, every year, as well as observing my own kids from the beginning till the present(they're quite grown up now), I think I might share some tips, which may help you in this regard. (In fact I have come across many such questions on several platforms, like "What skills should I be teaching to my 3-year-old?", "What should we start teaching young children?" etc.) Thus, here we go! All the best for your future endeavors, dear young parents/guardians/care takers/teachers. I'm sure it will benefit you, in whateve

How to teach a 3-year-old to write?

Before you go for teaching your 3-year-old child how to write, you must first ensure that he/she has reached the readiness point yet or not. I mean to suggest that children should be provided with enough opportunities for strengthening their finer muscle coordination. Right from the beginning,  you can train them how to hold an object.  The child should be engaged in different activities through play way methods.  FINER MUSCLE COORDINATION: If a child may not be able to master the skill of how to grasp an object or how to hold a pencil/crayon, it’s meaningless to forcibly teach him/her how to write. Starting at about 2 years of age, children must be engaged in various indoor and outdoor activities which will help them strengthen their eye-hand coordination. Throwing and catching a soft ball Sand play Water play Clay modelling Fixing manipulative toys Color identification(first only the primary colors). Gradually move on to secondary colors. Sha

English language: its origin and significance

As we know, many people in the world are supposed to be English speakers. Because, it is internationally or globally accepted language for the majority. So more and more people are learning or at least aspiring to learn English as the second language, (if not native) or the first language. Let's focus on how it originated and developed over the period of time:                       English Language: its origin and significance English is a West Germanic language that was first spoken in early medieval England. It is named after the ‘Angles’, one of the Germanic tribes that migrated to the area of ‘Great Britain’ that later took their name as ‘England’. Both names derive from ‘Anglia’, a peninsula in the ‘Baltic Sea’. The vocabulary of English language has been significantly influenced by other Germanic languages and to a greater extent by 'Latin' and 'French'. English has developed over the course of more than 1,400 years. The earliest forms of English

What are some important and interesting features of                    Bhubaneswar?? To an outsider, it may puzzle, whether Bhubaneswar is only a city full of temples,i.e. temple city, or it's something considered to be a smart city.  Thus it's my privilege to share a clearer perspective of it, being a resident of Bhubanswar. Yes, you heard it right. It's not only a culturally rich temple city but also one of the globally ranked smart cities. HISTORY: Well, let me start with its Foundation Day being celebrated on April 13, as on this date in 1948, the capital of Odisha was shifted from Cuttack to Bhubaneswr. It has a history of over 3000 years, emerging with thhe Mahameghabahana Chedi dynasty around 2nd century BCE. It's popularly known as 'Mandiramalini' or the Temple City of India. Because, it has innumerous temples situated on its periphery since time immemorial. In fact, the city, is said to have been named according to a templ
